Starting from V2, you can launch MG-Picker Studio in standalone mode.

The Maya-specific features, like MEL and python code execution, context menu preview, and 3D view are not available in standalone mode.

But most of the time during the design process, you are dealing with graphic creation, editing, and links. That is when the standalone mode will come in handy, it will keep all the Maya-related data.

The standalone mode does come with some command-line support:

MG-PickerStudio

-help: Show this help;

-mode: The UI mode: 0=designer, 1=animator;

-layout: The UI Layout of one of following: Single, Column2, Column3, Column4, Row2, Row3, Row4, Col2SplitLeft, Col2SplitRight, Row2SplitTop, Row2SplitBottom, GridVerticalUnified, GridHorizontalUnified, GridBothUnified;

-load: Load picker file with optional area index(0-3): [0] "pickerFilePath1" [1] "pickerFilePath2";

-tests: Run test manager dialog, iternal use only and may be remove in formal release;

The support of the standalone mode means MG-Picker Studio is ready code-wise to support other DCC.

If you want to suggest a DCC support, please email mgpickerstudio@gmail.com
